3.43, 20-17, 1/4, and 8
First, I finished another class in school last week, and I'm officially done until January. A whole month off! Woohoo! The class was my second finance class and it was a big challenge. I worked my butt off on that class and got an A. My GPA for the program is up to 3.43. I'm proud of that while balancing a ton of other things in life. I know I could have something higher, but I can't imagine the impact to my job and family that would cause. Grades are definitely not worth that kind of sacrifice. My next class is Marketing, which should be a fun one since I spend part of many days at work frustrated by our marketing teams' decisions. Maybe I will gain an appreciation for them?
Today was a big step for me, as I realized how much I time I had spent on school with my last two classes, so I wanted to make it up to Lori/Kaelyn. I did not watch OR record the ASU vs U of A game. I know, I know.. pick up your jaw off the floor. I spent today cleaning, having a quick visit with my dad, putting up Christmas lights, and just hanging out in the evening. Tomorrow, I'll be off shopping and no doubt other things around the house. I didn't want to cut in to all that with watching 3 hours of football, so I skipped it. Well, as frightened as I was that they would lose, they came through with the win 20-17 and look like favorites to head to the Fiesta Bowl for their first BCS game. We'll see what happens though, with all of the chaos in the top 25 today, anything could happen. ASU ended the season tied with USC for the best team in the PAC-10, and will most likely end up 12th in the BCS rankings. Not bad at all.
Of course, after I spent a few hours hanging the lights, I went outside to enjoy the results and 1/4th of one of the icicle strings is dark. I guess I'll be getting the ladder back out tomorrow to fix that. What a pain. If you're in Maricopa drive by in the next couple weeks and let me know how it looks. If you're not, come by for New Years and we'll be sure they're on.
Lastly, we went to Kaelyn's 15 month check-up the other day and the doctor asked us how many words she was saying. Without hesitation Lori blurted out, "8"! I can't believe she is speaking that much. We were watching Sesame Street last night and she said "oh no" for her 9th "word". She's going to be talking before we know it.
