she's talking!

I think? You know all those parents who proudly report the day their child started talking? Well, it's a load of crap. Kaelyn babbles like no tomorrow, and I -think- she's said "Hi" and "Dadda", but I sure can't tell. Lori is convinced she is saying "Hi", but it sounds like more of a whisper to me. She does point at me and say "Dadda", but she says it to other things sometimes, and for all I know my mind is convoluting more babbling in to sounding like "Dadda".

So is she talking? I DON'T KNOW .. and it's driving me crazy.

On another note, I happened across a parenting blog http://www.daddydaze.net where he wrote a post on his son's birthday titled Happy B'day Kid!. He writes "Two freakin’ years. We’ve kept the kid alive for two freakin’ years." ..

Well, I like the sentiment, so I have to say, we kept the kid alive for 13 months! Wow. Seriously? Look how well adjusted she is. She loves people, walks like a machine, starting to talk (maybe?), and we did it! Let's wait a few more years before claiming childhood victory, but Lori and I have done a damn good job so far!
