slacking

As Chris put it, I've been slackin' on my blog.

So, here are pictures from Lori's baby shower;

and from the house on June 18th;

You'll notice I'm picking out things wrong in the pictures of the house. Not much has changed, and we have our "pre-drywall" meeting this coming Tuesday, so I have to make sure I have my list.

So, let's see.. Obviously Lori had the baby shower. Kaelyn got one heck of a bunch of goodies from friends and family all around. The shower seemed to go pretty well, and everyone seemed to have a good time. While it was going on I went with Lori's dad and picked up a few things at my parent's house to help them clear out their house. They have sold the house, and had a garage sale this morning. They move to the new house in just a few days.

Lori and I were taking birthing classes, and we also took a baby class. We are just dangerous enough to know what we're talking about now. I'm sure it will prove to be barely useful once she arrives, but I for one am happy we did it. I can now swaddle, change diapers, feed, and lead breathing exercises for contractions.. watch out.

I sold my car finally, and actually got the price I wanted for it. It was a fairly painless process, now if someone would just buy the house! It's been on the market a few weeks, and we've had quite a few people come by and look at it, but no serious interest yet. Keeping the house clean non-stop is an interesting exercise for Lori and I, who don't typically keep things immaculate.

My birthday is coming up in about a week and a half, and I've already gotten my present from Lori (accidentally). We got a FedEx slip on the gate Friday, and I assumed it was the baby monitor I had ordered a while back. Lori came with me to the pick up, and it turned out to be a 19" LCD Monitor for my computer. It's absolutely beautiful looking on that desk. I've boxed up quite a few things, cleaned up a ton, and replaced some other items, but that monitor makes the biggest difference in making the office look better. Someone HAS to buy the house now! =)

Anyways, I'm still in school, I only took one week off between classes this time so I can take a big break when Kaelyn comes. I got a B in the last class, and about halfway done with this current class.

I've been keeping up on the World Cup and Tour de France as best I can, but haven't been watching as much as I have in the past. Admittedly, I probably watched too much in the past =). It's been a nicer balance.

I'm sure there are a million other things people would like updates on, but that's what I've got off the top of my head.
