the only thing in life is pictures

According to my blog recently, all I do is take pictures. Well, let's get that part of the way. The pictures from last weekend are here;

When we went down to take them there were contractors working on it, so we drove around and looked at other builders to pass the time. There are some drastically different builders out there. I'm glad I know more about them all now. If anyone is building a new house and has questions, let me know, I may be able to help provide *some* input.

That night we had the joy of a barbeque over at Eddie and Denise's. It was good to see everyone and talk about our impending moves to M-town (slang for Maricopa candidate #1). Dan and Marcella were there as well, and Lori and Marcella had fun with the Chocolate fountain that Denise bought.

The next day something interesting happened. I got to see my parent's new house. The house I grew up in is being sold. They are in contract on a house in the Willo district. The house was built in 1941 and has a cool courtyard out back. It's weird to see something old around here. I've spent so much time in and around brand new houses lately that I forget how old Phoenix really is. So I'm not sure how I feel about the old house being sold, but I knew it was coming. Sure I have to feel a little nostalgic, but I guess it's not affecting me too much.

Just as my parents have put their house on the market, the current house in Ahwatukee is as well. If you're interested in this house, let me know, we can get you a great deal =). Lori and I have been packing up things and have (as of this morning) rented a storage unit down in Maricopa. The plan is to take a full load of boxes down there everytime we head down. In no time, we should have more than half of our stuff already a mile or so from the house. That will make moving MUCH easier.

Lori also purchased the furniture for Kaelyn on Thursday, and we went and picked it up today. It was fun getting the dresser upstairs, and even more fun leveling the cabinet doors on the changing table.

I'm in week 4 of another 5 week class in school, and work is killing me lately with the stress levels. I think I'm finally getting a few things under control, but with everything else going on, that definitely isn't helping my ability to function.

I haven't gotten any interest on the explorer yet, so it'll be time to drop the price a bit this coming week to see if I can find any takers. The things I am trying to sell are starting to stack up.
