crack and bloglines
A few years ago I really liked cheez-its. They tasted salty and they were crunchy, everything I enjoyed in a snack. Somewhere along the way I stopped buying them, but I have had them from time to time when offered.
The other day Lori bought white cheddar cheez-its. When I saw them I made sure to ask her if they were what she had intended to purchase. She responded that she had and "she had heard good things".
Well, let me tell you boys and girls. I have never tried crack, but I have to believe it is something like eating a white cheddar cheez-it. Holy crap those things are good. I just ate three of them and I think I want to eat the whole box.
Then there is bloglines. My dad reminded me this weekend that my blog was broken in bloglines. Eddie had mentioned this before, but I clicked on the blog entries without a problem. Turns out if you clicked the blog title it redirected to the wrong place. I've fixed it now if anyone hasn't actually removed and readded their bloglines entry to fix the problem already.
tricks with google maps
Here is an example of something cool you can do with google maps;

my job, design studio, spinato's and pregnancy
You've all asked me from time to time exactly what I do for a living.
I always give some vague answers or try to explain something that most people can't put with listening to long enough to grasp.
So here it is in a Dilbert cartoon;

Lori and I spent today at the "design studio" for our house. We picked out all the specifics for the house. It was one hell of a long process, and we were pretty tired once it was all over. We're pretty happy with what we came away with, and should be pretty proud of our new home once it's done.
Afterwards we went to Spinato's for pizza. I mentioned it on this blog before and said it was OK. We ate there this time, and it definitely was better this time. We also got the cheesey garlic bread which was REALLY good.
I must also print a retractment, I said yesterday that Lori was hating being pregnant, I meant she's hating the effects, not hating being pregnant.
lori is pregnant
Back in November I wrote a post with this topic. It was a joke.
Now it's true!
Lori and I are having a baby. We're both psyched, and are looking forward to being parents. Lori hates being pregnant, but she is secretly enjoying some of it =). I can tell.
This is obviously quite the life changing event for both of us, so stay tuned for plenty of proud pictures and entertaining stories as we progress.. I need to get a scanner (or use someone else's, anyone?) to get the first ultrasound pictures online.
On another note, we're moving to Maricopa!
We are having a house built down in the Cope (any suggestions for nicknames will be accepted) that should be done in sometime around October through December. The commute is just over 20 miles, most of it on empty roads to my office. Not too bad at all. Lori has a bit longer to go, but thankfully she's still this side of downtown.
Here is a link to the builder's information on the home;

It's a pretty exciting time for both us, and I appreciate all the friendly faces and congratulations that everyone has given us!
gallery, san jose, and droughts
I upgraded gallery to gallery2 and gave Lori a section as well. So now the links to the left for pictures go to gallery2. Like this blog, let me know if you see any problems.
I also updated the main page of this computer to a summary of sorts. You can read it here;

Now I need to show her how to blog/upload pictures on Shiny Things.
I just spent the last couple of days in San Jose meeting with a company we just bough a whole load of equipment from. It was pretty cool, we were very well looked after, even the CEO of their company came in and talked to us. It's good to have other companies kiss your ass =). The unfortunate part was that I had so much homework I wasn't able to go out with the guys I was there with. The class is over now though, so that's a relief. I can get on to doing some other things for a few weeks before the next class.
Just an update on the Phoenix drought, we are at 106 days and counting. A new record. It rained while I was in San Jose, it looked pretty odd to me =).
