tzatziki and tracy morgan
The flight back from Sacramento was as uneventful as always, and I was able to bring the wine in my carry-on without an issue. Lori was gracious enough to pick me up from the airport upon my return to the heat.
On the drive back from the airport she said to me, "I was reading your blog and I have one word for you; tzatziki". Yes boys and girls, I've been schooled. The yogurt and cucumber I was describing is in fact tzatziki. I'm sure I knew that at some point, but I definitely won't be forgetting it this time. Also interestingly enough, we had both sent a text message to each other on Friday, to which we received no replies. We both thought we were ignoring the other, but the messages were actually never received at either end. Go Verizon roaming!
So talk of tzatziki took us to My Big Fat Greek Restaurant for dinner where we tried some various dips for pita bread and then some lamb and potatoes for dinner. A good meal, but a massive amount of food. I will definitely be back.
Next in our evening was a trip out to the Improv in Tempe to see Tracy Morgan. He was funny, but not -that- funny. I had a good time though and laughed quite a bit. I have yet to have a bad time at the Improv, so it's not exactly unexpected.
It was definitely a fun night to continue my five days without work, and great to spend time with Lori.
