ahhhh, the weekend
So I slept in way too late this morning (9:30), and since there is no excuse for not riding my bike, I strapped on my bike and sweated it out until after 11am. I've ridden the exact time and intensities that I've wanted to so far this week, only one more day to go in my "bike week". Motivation is grand isn't it?
I got most of the house cleaned up after recovering on the couch with some food and Tour de France watching. Lance did not look invincible today, tomorrow's stage will definitely be an interesting one. On a plus note former domestic dominating rider Chris Horner picked up 9th on the first climbing stage, in the same pack as 20th placing Lance.
I ended up making plans to have a drink with the girl from the gas station, and actually had a good conversation with her on the phone. I'm not really expecting anything here, but she should be fun at the very least.
Then I went out to dinner at "My Big Fat Greek Restaurant" with Carrie, Melissa, Rich, Chris, and Rich's friend Heather. The place was interesting, but I couldn't partake in the rich food with my healthy eating mode.. I stuck to a salad with salmon and shrimp. I will have to go back and have some good lamb another time. Then Rich and Chris took off and I was left with the 4 women for a trip to Kazmierz for some wine. The place was even more packed than last time, and we never were able to find a place to sit. I guess later really is better. We ended up packing it in early, which is probably a good thing since I need to get up at a reasonable hour tomorrow.
