long day

I was actually at work before 8am today (a rarity), and worked kind of a long day, so it was nice to be home. Before I left I had a good conversation with Denver who I really haven't talked to in a long ass time. That was good to catch up, looks like we're going to hang out next week. Unfortunately the minute I got home and ate one of my mini-meals, I fell asleep on the couch. I guess the lack of sleep caught up =). I woke up with like 3 minutes left in the tour stage today, which was a bunch sprint, so I didn't miss anything. I then got in a ride on the trainer while watching a little South Park, all in all an uneventful evening.

What's a mini-meal you might ask? Well it's a well known fact that eating many smaller meals rather than 3 (or less?) big ones is much healthier for you. You are more conscious of your food intake, and you are less hungry, so you eat less. Plus, your stomach becomes used to smaller amounts of food, so when you do inevitably stuff yourself, you feel full much faster. Since Monday I've kept my food intake usually at less than 300 calories a sitting (I'm not really counting, just an estimate). I only eat when I feel hungry, and I have eaten so much less food than normal. As long as I don't go too crazy and start starving myself this will be a major step in getting back in shape. Just need to keep riding the bike and doing weights/abs workouts for the rest of it.

If nothing else is positive, Tausha leaving has kicked my motivation (not only with exercise/health) into high gear. I realized how far I've let my shit slide.. Besides, lack of exercise makes you irritable/depressed, especially when you add to it by being angry at yourself for not doing the exercise, and I definitely have been both.
